These days most refer to Peyote simply as “Button Cacti”, “Lophs” or by their botanic name Lophophora Williamsii. Due to unsustainable harvest tactics Peyote is sadly endangered in the wild.

There are many variations of Lophophora Williamsii cacti in captivity, and many collectors like to grow differing hybrids from seed, to then graft onto a Trichocereus scion.
