Southern Africa, Namibia and South Africa

WATER
Water when soil is almost completely dry from spring to early autumn. Keep much drier in winter, especially in cool conditions. Must have excellent drainage.

OUTDOORS
Full sun to bright sun. Best in a warm, dry, open position with free-draining soil.

INDOORS
Yes, very bright light only. Best near a sunny window or in a greenhouse-style position.

FROST TOLERANT
Low to moderate tolerance once established, but protect from heavy frost and prolonged cold wet weather.

GROWTH RATE
Slow. Eventually forms a tall, branching tree-like aloe, often several metres high in the ground over many years.

POPULARITY
Rare, highly sought after, architectural, collector plant.

FLOWERS
Yellow flowers once mature, usually in winter.

PETS & CHILDREN
Position with caution, away from foot traffic. Leaves have firm pointed tips and sap may irritate sensitive skin or pets if chewed.
