Growing up to approximately 60cm in height, the Euphorbia Resinifera, known more commonly as The Moroccan Mound, is a low-growing succulent that depends on good drainage and lighting. This plant is one of the oldest documented medical plants of all the Euphorbia species and has a long history of cultivation. Like most Euphorbia plants, the Moroccan Mound displays small yellow blooms throughout early spring.
Cactus Vision strongly suggests growing this species in a bright outdoor area or indoors with 4+ hours of direct sun (minimum). The Moroccan Mound is heat tolerant and perfect for areas that tend to fry other plants over summer. For inland areas, this Euphorbia isn't a bad choice - the Moroccan Mound can withstand temperatures as low as -3 degrees C. For prolonged frost, however, we suggest covering your cacti with a hessian bag for protection from frost burn, or you'll be left with a frosty cactus.
